Mik Muller, Greenfield Recorder, Sept 11, 2002
It is indeed a strange world we live in where an American can't say what's on his mind without some coward throwing eggs at his car in the middle of the night. This paper printed a letter by me on August 23rd regarding George W. Bush and his maniacal power-hungry cabinet.
Perhaps the teenage kids of some devout Bush supporters overheard mommy and daddy at the dinner table discussing the letter and decided to take matters into their own hands. I'm wondering if it's the same kids who stole my car last fall and left it in Greenfield, all smashed up. That was right after another string of letters in this paper regarding our own government here in town (the whole MCTV debacle).
Maybe the Recorder should stop printing letters that upset these people. I really wish they'd contact the paper and tell them what they'd like to read. Then we'd all be one happy family, under big brother, holding hands as we walked into the setting sun of Armageddon, instead of having to worry if our cars are being abused.
